Quick receiving matters. It gets your inventory available for sale sooner and reduces the risk of carriers charging detention fees while waiting at the dock. So when your freight arrives at our Chicago, IL distribution center, we process it fast.
We handle piece storage, carton storage, and pallet storage with designated floor, rack, and bin locations. Containers get devanned, pallets get received, and everything gets counted, inspected, and entered into our Camelot warehouse management system.
And we track it all in real time. You receive confirmation showing what arrived and what condition it’s in.
You could be bringing in a single pallet delivery or full containers from overseas. Either way, our distribution center services are built to process your inbound freight efficiently and accurately.

Order fulfillment you can count on
When orders come in, our team pulls items, packs them, and hands them to the right carrier. Our Chicago distribution center supports pick-and-pack fulfillment with UPS, FedEx, and LTL shipping.
And if you need local delivery, we do that too through our in-house cartage fleet. We process everything from a couple orders per week to hundreds of orders each day.
Same-day shipping is standard when orders arrive within your cutoff window. We also handle labels and packing slips so shipments look like they came from you, not from a distribution warehouse.

Cross-docking for freight that needs to keep moving
Not everything that comes through a distribution center needs to sit on a shelf. Edler handles cross-docking, which is where freight arrives on inbound trucks and ships out on outbound trucks without long-term storage in between.
This means we can break overseas containers, palletize the contents, and reship to your distribution centers or directly to your customers. This is ideal for high-velocity products, time-sensitive shipments, and LTL consolidation.
